What actually is this?

It's a journey journal of mine during the year 2022. From this, I am planning to begin a journey of influencing people. You may get some points to implement in your life so that you can make 2023 the best year.

What motivated me to write these things ?

After completing my B.Sc. , One of my professors invited me to talk at the Student-Achiever Interaction Programme 2022-23 at Yuvaraja's College, Mysore. I was not an achiever in academics. So, I tried to convince her that I was not the right person for this event. But she forced me and told me that this is not the programme only for the academic achievers but also for someone who has achieved in other fields and made me attend the event. Then I realised that even I can influence someone.

Why am I writing this?

I was reminiseing about my journey of the year 2022 and I found it exciting. I guess the year 2022 was my most successful year. So I am Sharing it with you. Before doing any task , I have been practicing one thing. That is to see the Pros and Cons of doing it. Hence I started listing the Pros and Cons of sharing this content and the analytical data is here.

Pros

Cons

  • Someone may get motivated by me and can utilize 2023 to their best.

  • I may get some valuable feedback and that may help me to update my version.

  • If I do any mistakes while writing, I have a chance to correct it.

  • Someone may laugh at me. But, its not a thing to worry! as it doesn't affect me.

So I came up with a conclusion to share my journey of 2022.

I will list out some events which made me think 2022 is the my best year.

  • I was the chess team captain of Yuvaraja's college and our team won Gold and silver.

  • I was the chess team captain of University of Mysore and represented in south zonel level held at SRM University Tamil nadu.

  • I got an opportunity to attend 18th CII Innovation Summit - Innoverge 2022.

From this event I got to connect with more people and to share our views on various topics.

  • I got an opportunity to share my ideas in Startup Mentor Connect Program by CII. This helped me to plan better.

  • I learnt web designing and development and created benakachess.com , theanathalaya.org

  • I won 2nd place in classical instrument playing (Flute) in Talent Search Programme at Yuvaraja's College , Mysore.

  • Being a part of YUREKA organising team, I have learnt many things.

*Our video editing team created a Promo Video for the fest. (click here to view)

*Our photography team helped me to cover the whole event beautifuly.

  • I completed my Under Graduation with Distinction(B.Sc. - PCM).

  • Before I got admitted for M.Sc. in University of Mysore, the Sports department permitted me to participate in the University chess selection. Now again I am one of the representetives of University of Mysore chess team.

  • I got seat for M.Sc. Physics in Manasagangotri.

For me these events were like a beautiful dream coming true.

Are you wondering why am I telling all these things? .... ok!

  • How did I manage to achieve this?

Have you noticed ? I participated in the fields which are not even inter-related at all. I adopted a principle in my life. Do you want to know what is that principle? Here you go.

Ok, Now let's dive into the main part. It is very simple (but hard to implement.)

*Please don't stick on to one thing. Learn more, explore more. Never stop learning and never limit yourself.

According to Chanakya (ref: Chanakya in the classroom by Radhakrishna Pillai)

"We should never stop learning even in our old ages , A person can stop learning only when he is dead."

If you think my journey was smooth and I had no obstacles throughout the path , then you are wrong!

Even I had many bad experiences in early 2021. I don't like to share those things here. But these kind of things happen in our lives to make us strong and to teach us something. But we won't realise at that moment. Even we don't get what it is trying to teach us. But definitely, we have to believe that God has a Good plan for Us.

Later part of 2021 , I changed the way looking at my life and it was my recovery period. Here I started focusing on spirituality and skill development which helped me to come along this way. Meditation and exercise helps you the most in this journey.

Now I will tell you the most important point. Its all about the Perspective. You know that. Right? "Happiness is the state of mind" and I chose to enjoy the path and I am happy now. If you choose to worry about the obstacles... It will be of no use and you will definitely suffer.

So Change your perspective and Change your life. Start to live in the PRESENT.

According to Jay shetty (author: Think like a monk)

Que: How is life? Is it easy or difficult?

Ans: By following something looks like difficult, life has became easier.

(For example, it's not easy to meditate, It's not easy to follow the same routine and to be consistent, It's not easy to maintain a healthy diet. But if we maintain this, then definitely we can have a peaceful life.)

Learn to use the opportunity when it knocks your door. It never waits for you and DON'T give up in any situation.

Now I'll let you know the blunders I made in my life and the lesson learnt from that.

Usually, people have their own perspective for every incident. Likewise, others may have thought that what I have done or my decisions are wrong or complete nonsense. But In my perspective I was right. We both were correct in our own perspectives as our thinking process are different. Leave about others, even if I analysed the same incident from their perspective, then I guess, I would have thought the same thing. What I wish to say here is, We should not look at any problem or any incident from one perspective only. If we look like this, we won't get any solution. If we think from other's perspectives, then definitely it helps us to get over that problem. And, one more thing you can know here is, not to judge any situation or person in your life. when it comes to a person, no one knows what's going on in thier life. when it comes to a situation, It will be your own perspective and it may not be the same for them. So never think like "Only what I know is the truth". If you continue to think in the same way, it may be a great loss in your life.

Lessons to Learn
